Founded in 2026, Survivor Sisters’ Alliance was created to aid survivors of sexual assault and harassment through the process of recovery. By working with colleges and universities across Texas, Survivor Sisters’ Alliance aspires to help survivors get the help they need and want without having to ask. Since the dawn of Title IX in 1972, laws to prevent gender and sexuality discrimination in places of education have disproportionately impacted women and other marginalized people. According to Gallup “data indicate[s] that [there is] greater worry among women -- particularly younger women – “ being “sexually assaulted.” That is why, in coordination with Title IX offices, Survivor Sisters’ Alliance is dedicated to sending care packages with sensory tools, basic essentials, and preventative tools to avoid being harmed again. Survivor Sisters’ Alliance serves to provide survivors with tangible tools to recover, relax, and reconnect as they move forward to withstand the difficulties with fierce determination and strength.
